1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Edgy ("the Service"), available at theedgy.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Edgy is a web application that provides an interactive control interface for compatible intimate devices (including The Handy via its REST API and Bluetooth devices via Intiface/Buttplug). The Service runs entirely in your browser and communicates directly with your device - no server-side relay or proxy is involved.

3. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. The Service involves adult content and control of an adult device. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You shall not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to harm, harass, or endanger any person
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

5. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Edgy shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

6. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Privacy Policy#

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data on our servers. The Edgy is designed with privacy in mind. No user accounts, no personal tracking, no cookies.

2. Connection Key

Your Handy connection key is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. It is never sent to our servers. The key is used by your browser to communicate directly with the Handy API (handyfeeling.com) and is not logged or retained by us.

3. Direct Device Communication

All communication with The Handy goes directly from your browser to the Handy API (handyfeeling.com). No data passes through our servers - theedgy.app serves only static files. Your device commands, connection key, and session data never touch our infrastructure.

Bluetooth devices connected via Intiface Central communicate directly between your browser and the local Intiface server - no data passes through our infrastructure either.

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process page requests in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics

The Edgy uses Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source, cookie-free analytics tool, to collect anonymous usage statistics (page views, device type, country). No personal data is collected, no cookies are set, and IP addresses are not stored. Umami is self-hosted on our own servers located in Strasbourg, France (OVH). Analytics data never leaves our infrastructure and is not shared with any third party. This data is used solely to improve the Service.

5. Affiliate Links

The Edgy may include affiliate links to third-party products. Clicking these links takes you to external websites that have their own privacy policies and may set cookies. No tracking is performed on our side.

6. Cookies

The Edgy does not set any cookies. We do not use tracking pixels or advertising services.

7. Local Storage

The following data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage and never leaves your device:

  • Connection key (for device pairing)
  • Selected behavior and parameters
  • Custom behaviors created in the editor
  • Language preference

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage.

Disclaimer#

1. Physical Device

The Edgy controls physical devices (The Handy, and Bluetooth toys via Intiface Central) that produce real-world motion or vibration. You use this application and the connected device entirely at your own risk. Always ensure the device is used safely and in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.

2. Independence & Affiliate Disclosure

The Edgy is an independent, third-party application. It is not endorsed by or officially connected to Sweet Tech AS (The Handy), Nonpolynomial (Buttplug.io / Intiface), or any other device manufacturer.

The Edgy participates in the Sweet Tech AS affiliate program. Links to The Handy products may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. This affiliate relationship does not influence the app's functionality or recommendations, and does not imply any official partnership or endorsement.

3. No Liability

The Edgy assumes no responsibility or liability for any physical injury, property damage, or other harm resulting from the use of this application or the connected device. The device's API is provided by a third party (handyfeeling.com) and may change or become unavailable without notice.

4. Service Availability

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (The Handy API, Cloudflare Pages for hosting, and optionally Intiface Central for Bluetooth devices) which is outside our control. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, reliability, or continued availability of the Service.
